The color pink is associated with the fight against breast cancer.

Stamford Hospital and its community partners are sponsoring “Paint the Town Pink” to increase awareness about the importance of early screening for and detection of breast cancer. Every woman—regardless of age and risk for breast cancer—needs to make it a priority to educate herself about the disease. Screening programs are becoming more sophisticated and more cases of breast cancer are being caught in early stages when they are easier to treat and success rates are higher.
