Hello. This is Lynn Redgrave, here to tell you about a special series of events during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Stamford Hospital and its community partners are sponsoring “Paint the Town Pink” to increase awareness about the importance of early screening for and detection of breast cancer. I’ve agreed to serve as Honorary Chairperson for this project because, as a breast cancer survivor, I am dedicated to helping educate women about their responsibility for their health.

Every woman—regardless of age and risk for breast cancer—needs to make it a priority to educate herself about the disease. Screening programs are becoming more sophisticated and more cases of breast cancer are being caught in early stages when they are easier to treat and success rates are higher.
