The Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center is a place for healing, where science and soul come together and the patient comes first, always.
The Bennett Cancer Center provides a superior level of clinical care, giving patients access to excellent physicians, skilled nursing and more new
and experimental treatments than at any other community hospital. All this – in a warm, comforting environment where the spirit is nurtured as the body is healed. Stamford Hospital and the Bennett Cancer Center are committed to state-of-the-art technology and treatments for cancer.
The Bennett Cancer Center provides compassionate, patient-oriented care from diagnosis through post-treatment follow-up visits. Our physicians personally greet each patient for appointments. We provide private chemotherapy suites with televisions, music systems, and lounge chairs. There is also a communal room where individuals can receive their treatments in the company of others. An active cadre of volunteers contributes services ranging from greeting patients to escorting them to tests and procedures to serving snacks. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for each patient.
The Bennett Cancer Center is the only area hospital to receive accreditation by the American College of Surgeons as a Teaching Hospital Cancer Program. Our physicians are on the faculty at Columbia University, one of the country’s finest medical schools. Our affiliation with Columbia gives patients immediate access to its world-class facilities, research protocols and state-of-the-art equipment.
Our doctors are highly skilled with extensive specialized experience. Our Medical Oncology group of seven physicians, all board certified in oncology, brings finer expertise to cancer patients, with each doctor sub-specializing in different forms of cancer.
