The Bennett Cancer Center is a major research center, participating in more clinical trials than any other community hospital in the state. Patients get access to treatments and therapies unavailable elsewhere.

The Bennett Cancer Center has the only peripheral stem cell and autologous bone marrow transplant program in the state, outside a university setting. Its proximity to Stamford Hospital means patients never have to leave the building for tests, procedures, or tosee their physician. Philanthropic funds support the American Red ross in providing rides for patients coming for treatment.

Recognizing that cancer impacts the entire family, the Center extends support and services to family members, as well as patients.

Programs such as Expression Through Art, the Integrative Medicine Program, and the post-treatment Exercise & Nutrition Program support patients' emotional and physical issues surrounding cancer reatment and recovery, all at no additional charge to patient.
